Tazorac Gel for Anti-aging?
Has anybody used Tazorac cream or gel before? If so, how did you like it? I’ve been on it for only two weeks, but I’m so miserable because my face is purging big time. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to help me.

I’m using it at the moment for my acne, I’ve been on it for about 6 weeks now. Personally it hasn’t helped me all that much, I’m going back to my dermatologist in a few weeks. My face also started purging and breaking out at first, but I took it as a sign that my skin was getting better, just cleansing itself. My skin has improved slightly, but not all that dramatically. If I were you I’d keep using it, I think it takes about 6-8 weeks to start seeing results or at least that’s what I was told. So hang in there, it could end up working really well for you.

By purging do you mean peeling?
Your doc should have started you out slowly…. once every 3 days for a while (about a week). Then once every 2 then everyday.
Either try that or call your doc and ask if you can try it.
Tazorac works for some and not for others. Give it a few (at least 2) months.
Also, you could ask your doc to recommend a moisturizer. My dermatologist recommends Purpose (sold at the grocery store. it is in a blue and white box.)

I started using it awhile ago and my face started peeling so much but I heard that it’s part of the effect. Kind of like your face has to get worse in order to get better? I dont know hopefully it clears our skin in the end :]
